If you do:

and then you add
mc2.setMask(myMask);

mc1 gets unmasked, of course we can put mc1 and mc2 into one mc and create mc3 then we can mask mc3 as follows

mc3.setMask(myMask);

But I don't want to do it that way, period

Now since we are talking about masks, how about allowing us to fade masks? Yes I know that we can't do that right now but hey! wouldn't it be nice if we could do that too?

Well, lets just hope that AS3 brings some of these goodies or maybe Flash9... or Flash10?

All of the sudden I went blank when I started to write the functions and passing variables all over the movie. Not only that but I started to sweat when I realized that the scripting had to be done in AS1 instead of AS2. No that it is more difficult or anything but for some reason I just panicked.

Luckily all my memories came back soon but I was amazed at how easily you can panic when you can't remember something. I don't know if this has happened to any of you but if it has my most sincere sympathy

For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way
computers have enhanced our lives, read on.

At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the

could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.

4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause
your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have
to reinstall the engine.

5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable,
five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only
five percent of the roads.

6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be
replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation"
warning light.

7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.

8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out
and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle,
turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.

9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how
to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the

We certainly can not make our past any different. Where ever we messed up it is over, we can not fix that or come back in time and make anything different. But what we do and how we behave with the concecuences it is just up to us.
